Mr. Sad

Malaysia implemented the movement restriction order which, among a few other restrictions, requires all non-essential businesses and schools to close, however, my time in my studio remains unaffected. I took the opportunity to share my daily sculpting progress on Instagram. So if you’d like to have a look at what’s happening in my studio, check out @limliwei_art.

I think I’m getting a hang of the materials I have to work with. Polymer clay is no doubt a sculpting medium that does not require a high budget in material and cost. It’s a good starting point to learn the basics of sculpting. I was told that some of the sculptures I’ve created will look good in bronze, no doubt that is an appealing idea, but I can not afford that just yet.

I’m here to share my latest work, Mr. Sad. He looks sad, probably because he was required to remain at home for 2 weeks as all Malaysians do.

Anyway, this is a quick update from me. I hope you all stay safe and remain healthy during these trying times with COVID-19 spreading around.
